Hello there! I'm John, a Software Engineer with a background in GIS Application Development.
Currently I'm pursuing a M.S. in Fintech at the University of Central Florida. I really enjoy learning about how technology is changing and interacting with the financial sector and why certain business decision are made. At work, I'm using SQL, MongoDB, Go, .NET, node.js and python to help build internal tools and reports via database queries.
I'm working on a few projects in python, go, and javascript that I will post to my projects section soon. I really enjoy working with data and the backend. I've spent the last few months working with Go specifically and find it extremely fun and intuitive for building projects with.
In my free time, I enjoy reading science fiction, playing video games, exercising, and spending time with my wife and our wonderful daughter.
